ABOUT ME

This is a little website​ that I'm setting up to throw my voice out into the world. I'm a writer and a reader (sounds like a Steve Miller Band song: "I'm a joker, I'm a smoker, a midnight toker..."). I've tried some podcasts, and have written stories and essays  about the place, but I've got some stuff to say and needed a place to say it!! And so here it shall be said.

I have been reading comics since 1990 and have amassed a large body of irrelevant knowledge and opinion over that time. I started writing in that time as well, with poetry, short stories, much nonsense, and in my later years some microfiction. I love that stuff still and some of all that will appear here.

I have been teaching since 2006 and love integrating all of this other stuff into my teaching. I've been a Science, Geography, Careers and Library Skills teacher, among many bits and pieces of heaps of other stuff (not Maths, on principle and due to lack of aptitude!). I love throwing my "knowledge" of comic and sci-fi science into my teaching, so some of that will make an appearance here as well.
